IVF – INVITRO FERTILIZATION
Invitro Fertilization is a procedure where the woman receives multiple injections so that an adequate number of eggs can be retrieved. The patient will be admitted to the IVF laboratory for eggs retrieval under sedation. These eggs are then fertilized with the partner’s sperms in the laboratory. One or two embryos that arise from the fertilization process are then transferred back into the womb.
ICSI- INTRACYTOPLASMIC SPERM INJECTION
Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection is a form of invitro fertilization that is reserved for specific indications.
EMBRYO FREEZING
During the IVF process, the excess embryos that are not transferred back, are frozen for future use.
DONOR EGG
As women age, the quantity and quality of their eggs decline. The decline can be such that no good quality eggs are available for fertilization. Some young women may develop premature ovarian insufficiency. These women have a better chance of conceiving if they use donor eggs rather than their own eggs.
SPERM DONATION
Donor sperms’ are offered to same sex couples, single women and where the couple have a severe sperm problem.
EGG FREEZING
Egg freezing is offered to patients who are not ready to conceive and wish to preserve their eggs while they are still young. It is also offered to women who are about to receive cancer treatment.
GENERAL GYNECOLOGY
Our practice also provides comprehensive general gynecologic care to women of all ages including menstrual problems, routine annual pelvic examinations and many other services.
INVESTIGATIONS
Investigations are done on all patients to ensure that the well being of the couple, child and laboratory staff is not compromised. These investigations will also guide us on various aspects of treatment.
